Streamlining window installations with Click-in and Smart Conversion

The construction industry is undergoing a major transformation to become more sustainable and efficient. One of the initiatives driving this development is the Smart Transition project at Innovatum Science Park. Within the framework of the project, the company Click-in, which is also a member of Innovatum Science Park's network "Tillverka i Trä", has had its window installation methods analyzed through time studies.

Time studies as a basis for optimization

Click-in develops innovative solutions for window installations, with a focus on simplifying and streamlining the process. By conducting rigorous time studies, the company has gained valuable data on the impact of their methods on construction time and workflow.

The results show that Click-in's systems can significantly reduce installation time compared to traditional methods - with an average time saving of 532 seconds per window, representing a 66.5% reduction. This means not only cost savings but also a more sustainable and resource-efficient construction process.

The Click-ins system is based on a prefabricated frame fitting that is installed directly into the wall's stud frame. It allows windows to be installed safely and efficiently - from inside the building and without affecting weather protection. With fewer work steps and a clear installation flow, the risk of incorrect installation is reduced and the working environment is improved.

Working together for a smarter construction industry

Carrying out time studies to measure and analyze work steps is crucial to identify bottlenecks and create better workflows. Click-in has been able to get a clearer picture of how their technology can contribute to a more streamlined construction process, while reducing construction waste and material wastage.

For us at Click-in, it's important to have partners who dare to think in new ways. Through the Smart Transition project, we have gained access to both expertise and methods that help us develop our products with a clear focus on efficiency and sustainability. The time study was proof that we are on the right track - and at the same time gave us insights into how to take the next step.

Future opportunities

Through the collaboration with Innovatum Science Park, Click-in will have a better basis for further developing its products and implementing them on a larger scale. The insights gained from the time study also create better conditions for integrating the system into industrial construction, where repeatability and time savings play a crucial role. The technology has the potential to contribute to a more standardized and quality-assured process for window installation.

This is an example of how research and innovation can contribute to making the construction industry more sustainable and efficient.
