Manufacturing in Wood is highlighted in this year's Impact Report from Innovatum Science Park

The industry is facing a major transition where sustainability, resource efficiency and innovation are becoming increasingly important. This year's Impact Report from Innovatum Science Park highlights several initiatives that are driving this development - and the Manufacturing in Wood network is part of the solution.

Wood as the material of the future

Wood is one of the most sustainable materials available to us, and industry is showing increasing interest in using it in new ways. By combining modern technology, digitalization and advanced wood joints, we can create strong, lightweight and climate-smart structures.

Innovatum Science Park's Impact Report for 2024 highlights, among other things, initiatives where wood is used in industrial construction, new innovations and how collaboration between academia and industry creates new opportunities for wood construction. During the year, Tillverka i Trä has been an important platform for this development, as we bring together actors from the entire chain - from research to production.

Collaboration for change

One of the network's most important tasks is to connect companies, researchers and decision-makers to jointly accelerate development in the wood industry. Through activities, seminars and knowledge exchange, we help to strengthen the Swedish wood industry and inspire more people to choose wood as a material.
